The class schedule is comprehensive and designed to incorporate all of the aspects of training that boxers use to get into great shape (those six S’s again - Speed, Stamina, Strength, Suppleness, Skill and pSychology). Whatever your fitness level, you can add progression and variety to your training by mixing up the classes:
  • The Boxing Fitness classes are at the heart of the Armoury experience. They are high energy classes for those looking to use tried and tested boxing conditioning techniques (skipping, bag work, pads etc.) to build speed, stamina and strength. You’ll get a full body workout that delivers results, fast.
  • If Boxing Fitness is a bit ‘full-on’ or you’re looking for some balance in your training regime, then Physical Training classes are about precision training, ensuring good form, using a lighter touch and including plenty of variety (including TRX & Kettlebell exercises). Fitness Assessments are conducted to baseline current performance and to motivate improvements.
  • The Skills & Sparring classes are for those looking to put the science back into the ‘sweet science’. These classes teach the skills, tactics and tips for mastering boxing and include optional sparring against an opponent. They are highly recommended for those preparing to compete in amateur contests or for a White Collar Fight Night.
  • The Squad Runs are run ‘paratrooper’ style. “Cover off, quick march, double, come on, work hard, remember it’s just mind over matter – I don’t mind and you don’t matter!” These runs cater for those who are seeking to improve their speed and stamina and combine gentle(ish) squad running with more intense individual effort (such as sprints, hill work and exercises).

The classes are great fun and do the job, but some people want a little more personal attention to help them realise their specific training objectives. Our Boxing Coaching and Personal Training one-on-one sessions are brilliant if you’re looking for progressive personalised training, whether to develop your boxing skills or to achieve your fitness goals. We can also provide you with your own coach to train partners, small groups of friends, family or colleagues at a time of your convenience.





Funny old thing, but at the Armoury we actually want you to see you in our gym, training hard. There are no joining fees or hidden administrative charges and we don’t lock you in for a year or more and hope that you don’t come. In fact we don’t lock you in at all, you simply pay membership fees by Debit Order - which can be cancelled or suspended at any time. Not only that, but we’d also like you to come for a free initial class so that you can make sure that our unique club is just what you are looking for.

So that’s you sorted then, we look forward to seeing you at the Armoury Boxing Club. Please bring a padlock, if you’re using a locker, and a towel and water bottle. You don’t need to bring any boxing kit but we sell decent stuff if you don’t like smelly gloves and wraps! Train hard, get into shape and we’ll even let you buy a cool Armoury vest, t-shirt or hoodie (everyone wants to be seen in one but only so many get the right to wear them!).

Oh... and don’t forget to bring your ‘heart’ (boxer-talk for courage – the ability to face down fear and fight through adversity), a big smile and a positive attitude... and leave any troubles at the door, we don’t do whinging in the Armoury.
